This week marks the 50th anniversary of the original UK release of The Man Who Sold The World, David Bowie's seminal contribution to the 1970s. This album not only kicked off a collaboration with guitarist Mick Ronson that continued with Bowie classics such as Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane, but also began a ten-year run of albums that stretched back to 1980's Scary Monsters. Now, six of Bowie's studio albums from 1969-1973 are being released separately on 180g vinyl, which was previously part of the comprehensive David Bowie Five Years 1969-1973 box set released in September 2015. The 2015 remastered version was used for Space Oddity, The Man Who Sold The World, Hunky Dory and PinUps!, while the 2012 remastered version was used for The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars and the 2013 remastered version was used for Aladdin Sane.
