Illés was a prominent Hungarian rock band that played a significant role in the music scene of the 1960s and 1970s. Formed in 1957, the band is often referred to as the "Hungarian Beatles," reflecting their considerable influence and popularity. The group consisted of founding members Lajos Illés (keyboardist), Szabolcs Szörényi (bassist, vocalist), and his brother Levente Szörényi (guitarist, vocalist), along with drummer József Laux who joined later.
