The soundtrack to Top Gun was released in 1986 and featured songs by artists such as Loverboy, Kenny Loggins and Berlin. The album was a huge success, reaching number one on the Billboard 200 chart and selling over 7 million copies in the United States. The soundtrack featured some of the biggest hits of the time, including Kenny Loggins' "Danger Zone" and Berlin's "Take My Breath Away".
