Hans Zimmer's Bond soundtrack After being postponed several times, "James Bond: No Time To Die", the 25th installment of the famous agent thriller series, will be released in German cinemas in September 2021. The German film composer, arranger and music producer has contributed to many classic films and TV series in the past. These include "Pirates of the Caribbean", "The Lion King", "Sherlock", "The Da Vinci Code", "Gladiator", "The Dark Knight", "Inception", "Interstellar", "Thelma and Louise" and many more. But "No Time To Die" is the first Bond soundtrack of his impressive career. Zimmer had this to say: "The opportunity to work on such an iconic franchise as 007 is an incredibly exciting experience." In addition, he said that he is thrilled that the world will soon hear new James Bond tunes in No Time To Die. Dan Romer was announced as the film's music composer in July 2019, having previously composed the music for two films directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga. However, Romer left the film at the end of 2019 due to creative differences, and Hans Zimmer took over in January 2020. This is the first time in the history of the Bond franchise that a composer has been replaced during post-production. Steve Mazzaro composed the film's music and Johnny Marr (The Smiths) played guitar. The soundtrack album for the film was originally scheduled to be released in March 2020 by Decca Records, but like the film has been delayed until October 2021. The soundtrack album also features the film's title track "No Time To Die" by American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish, who co-wrote the song with her brother Finneas. The song was first performed at the 2020 BRIT Awards, with Johnny Marr on guitar and Hans Zimmer conducting the orchestra. The album "James Bond: No Time To Die" is available on CD and double LP.
