Gish is the debut album by the Smashing Pumpkins, released in 1991. The album was recorded in just six days and cost only $6,000 to produce. Gish was well received by critics and was a commercial success, reaching number 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. Singles from the album, "I Am One" and "Siva", were both successful on MTV's alternative rock chart. The album Gish was certified platinum by the RIAA.
