Still Corners, the band's fourth album, continues the band's journey with ten songs full of tension and intrigue, wrapped in a dream of reverb. "Slow Air" is a classic shoegaze sound with an emphasis on acoustic and electric guitar combined with Tessa Murray's seductive and ghostly voice. The songs are complemented by live drums and minimal synths with all the imperfections to create the ultimate human feel and emotion. Inspiration for his journey from England to the US came from the vast expanse of North America, from the deserts of Texas and Arizona to the beaches of California and the mountainous regions of upstate New York. Recording took place at Greg Hughes' new studio in Austin, Texas, and Still Corners focused on making the recording process as smooth and minimal as possible. Using a variety of old and new microphones, the band recorded and mixed these new songs over the course of three months. Keeping everything fresh and not thinking about how to finish the album was faster than albums Still Corners had written and recorded before.
