The Stage is the seventh studio album by American heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold.It was released on October 28, 2016 by Capitol Records. The album was produced by Mike Elizondo and is the band's first album to feature Brooks Wackerman on drums. The Stage is a concept album that revolves around the idea of artificial intelligence. The album has been praised by music critics for its ambition and scope. It debuted at number four on the Billboard 200. It sold 76,000 copies in its first week, becoming Avenged Sevenfold's third consecutive top five album.
