Paul Young is an English singer, songwriter, and musician who gained international success in the 1980s. Born on January 17, 1956, in Luton, Bedfordshire, England, Young started his music career in the late 1970s with the band Kat Kool & The Kool Cats. He later joined the band Streetband, which had a modest hit with "Toast." After Streetband disbanded, Young formed the Q-Tips. However, it was his solo career that brought him to prominence.
