Irish folk music group

Clannad is an Irish band formed in 1970 by siblings Moya, Ciarán and Pól Brennan, along with their uncles Noel and Pádraig Duggan. The group hails from Gweedore (Gaoth Dobhair), a Gaeltacht area in County Donegal, Ireland. Clannad is renowned for their pioneering music which blends traditional Irish folk with modern sounds, often incorporating elements of rock, new-age, and pop into their work. They are widely recognized for their ethereal vocal harmonies and the use of traditional Irish instruments alongside electric guitars and synthesizers.
