Brutal Death Metal

Brutal death metal (brutal death) forms a kind of transition between death metal and grindcore and is very close to goregrind, i.e. one of the hardest and fastest musical styles. Guitars are tuned, riffs are fast, vocals are on the border between growling and guttural. The drums tend to be fast, with a double pedal usually used on the bass drum, and the drummers can develop a speed similar to a machine gun cadence. This style is both technically and physically demanding to play. The stage presence is, as with probably all metal genres, quite theatrical. The lyrics are usually full of blood, death and murder. Brutal death is very extreme, practically without media interest, yet many fans subscribe to it.
