WSM is responsible for the development and promotion of Warner's back catalogue including reissues, remasters, special editions, tracks never previously released, rarities and collectors' editions. In 2006 this responsibility was passed to Rhino Records (2) in an effort to improve Warner's flagging market share of the back catalogue and compilation market.
