Wormed is a Spanish technical death metal band known for their complex compositions and science fiction-themed lyrics. Formed in Madrid in 1998, the band has established a reputation within the extreme metal community for their intense and brutal sound. Wormed's debut album, "Planisphærium," was released in 2003 and received acclaim for its innovative approach to death metal. The band's lineup has seen changes over the years, but they have continued to push the boundaries of the genre. Following "Planisphærium," Wormed released "Exodromos" in 2013, which served as a prequel to their debut album's storyline. Their third full-length album, "Krighsu," came out in 2016 and continued the conceptual narrative established in previous works. In 2019, they released an EP titled "Metaportal," further solidifying their status as pioneers in technical death metal with their intricate musicianship and otherworldly themes. Wormed has gained a dedicated following through their challenging music and consistent thematic content, marking them as a distinctive force within the metal scene.
