Todd Rundgren

Versatile American Musician and Producer

Todd Rundgren is an American multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and record producer who has been a seminal figure in the development of both progressive rock and power pop. Born on June 22, 1948, in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, Rundgren began his professional music career in the mid-1960s with the band Nazz before embarking on a solo career in the early 1970s. His third solo album, "Something/Anything?" released in 1972, is widely regarded as his magnum opus; it was a double album featuring hits such as "I Saw the Light" and "Hello It's Me," showcasing his abilities to play all the instruments, sing all the vocal parts, and act as his own producer.
