The Sugarcubes were an Icelandic alternative rock band that formed in 1986 and quickly gained international fame, particularly for their eclectic music and the distinctive voice of their lead singer, Björk. The band's original lineup consisted of Björk Guðmundsdóttir (vocals), Einar Örn Benediktsson (vocals, trumpet), Þór Eldon (guitar), Bragi Ólafsson (bass), Margrét "Magga" Örnólfsdóttir (keyboards), and Sigtryggur Baldursson (drums). They released their debut album "Life's Too Good" in 1988 to critical acclaim, showcasing a unique blend of pop, punk, and avant-garde influences. The album included hits like "Birthday," which brought them to the attention of international audiences.
