Psychedelic Soul Indie Pop Duo

The Marías are an indie pop band with a dreamy, psychedelic sound that blends influences from both American and Latin music traditions. Formed in Los Angeles in 2016, the group is led by Puerto Rican singer María Zardoya and Los Angeles native Josh Conway, who also serves as the drummer and producer. The band's lineup is rounded out by Jesse Perlman on guitar and Edward James on keys. They first gained attention with their debut EP "Superclean Vol. I," released in 2017, followed by "Superclean Vol. II" in 2018, which helped establish their presence in the indie music scene.
