The Edgar Broughton Band, often known for their eclectic and avant-garde approach to rock music, was a part of the late 1960s and early 1970s British underground scene. Formed in Warwick, England in 1968 by Edgar Broughton (vocals, guitar), his brother Steve Broughton (drums), and Arthur Grant (bass, vocals), the band quickly became known for their politically charged lyrics and heavy psychedelic blues sound. Their debut album "Wasa Wasa" (1969) encapsulated their raw, intense style and set the tone for their subsequent releases. The band's self-titled album "The Edgar Broughton Band" arrived in 1971, showcasing a more polished sound while still retaining their hard-edged musical ethos.
