Snow Patrol is a Northern Irish-Scottish rock band formed in 1994, originally as an indie rock group called Shrug. The band consists of Gary Lightbody (vocals, guitar), Nathan Connolly (guitar, backing vocals), Paul Wilson (bass guitar, backing vocals), Jonny Quinn (drums), and Johnny McDaid (keyboards, guitar, backing vocals). They gained mainstream success with their third studio album, "Final Straw," released in 2003, which marked a significant shift in their music style towards more radio-friendly rock and included the hit single "Run." Their follow-up album, "Eyes Open," released in 2006, further cemented their popularity with the inclusion of "Chasing Cars," a song that became one of the most notable tracks of the decade and significantly increased their international profile.
