Roger Waters

Roger Waters is an English musician, singer-songwriter, and composer, best known as the bassist and co-lead vocalist of the iconic rock band Pink Floyd. Born on September 6, 1943, in Great Bookham, Surrey, England, Waters co-founded Pink Floyd in 1965 with drummer Nick Mason, keyboardist Richard Wright, and guitarist Syd Barrett. After Barrett's departure from the band in 1968 due to mental health issues, Waters became the primary lyricist and conceptual leader of Pink Floyd, contributing to some of the most critically acclaimed albums in rock history, including "The Dark Side of the Moon" (1973), "Wish You Were Here" (1975), "Animals" (1977), and "The Wall" (1979).
