Electro-pop duo

Neon Neon is a collaborative project between Welsh musician Gruff Rhys, best known as the frontman of the psychedelic rock band Super Furry Animals, and American producer Boom Bip, whose real name is Bryan Charles Hollon. The duo specializes in electronic pop music with a distinct 1980s influence. They released their debut album "Stainless Style" in 2008, which was a concept album based on the life of controversial automobile engineer John DeLorean. The album was well-received and even earned a nomination for the 2008 Mercury Prize. Following up on their initial success, Neon Neon released their second album "Praxis Makes Perfect" in 2013, which is another concept album, this time inspired by the life of Italian publisher and left-wing activist Giangiacomo Feltrinelli. Their work is characterized by a blend of electronic music with elements of pop, rock, and hip-hop.
