George Caird

British Oboist and Music Educator

George Caird is a British oboist, educator, and former principal of the Birmingham Conservatoire. Not to be confused with a composer or band, Caird has had a distinguished career as a performer and has contributed significantly to music education. He was the principal of the Birmingham Conservatoire from 1993 until his retirement in 2010. During his tenure, he oversaw significant developments in the institution's facilities and curriculum. As an oboist, Caird has performed with various orchestras and ensembles, though he is not primarily known for producing albums titled "Cello Concertos" or "Chamber Works."
