The Perfect Middle: U.D.O. and the Bundeswehr After Udo Dirkschneider performed with the Bundeswehr Choir five years ago at the Wacken Open Air Festival, the metal pioneer and his band U.D.O. will present a full-length album in 2020 in collaboration with the orchestra. "We Are One" is the title of fifteen songs that deal with global themes and issues such as the refugee situation, climate change and pollution. Dirkschneider collaborated with two former Accept members, Stefan Kaufmann and Peter Baltes, as well as his own composers Guido Rennert and Alexander Reuber to write the songs. Lieutenant Colonel Christoph Scheibling was in charge of the choir. The result is "We Are One", a totally unusual but thrilling project that found the perfect middle ground between the hard U.D.O. sound and the orchestral sound. P.S. In addition to the standard CD, "We Are One" is also available as a hardcover art book, a Blu-ray with a studio documentary and photos from the recording sessions. Limited to 1000 copies worldwide. Record lovers will be in for a treat with a double LP on clear red or silver vinyl.
