Tobias Sammet's Avantasia: Ghostlights versión en vinilo 2LP en estándar edición. Esta edición en concreto se lanzó en Europa en la editorial Nuclear Blast el día 5. febrero 2016.
The pioneers of metal opera are back Less than two years after the release of Edguy's last album "Space Police - Defenders Of The Crown", singer Tobias Sammet is going solo again in 2016. "Ghostlights" is the title of the new album by his metal opera project Avantasia. The German and his band present a total of twelve tracks that take the genre to a new level. The Avantasia project has been around since 1999 and to some extent lives off of collaborations with various hard rock and metal legends. The list of guests on the album "Ghostlights" is therefore again more than impressive: This time Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), Geoff Tate (Queensrÿche), Marco Hietala (Nightwish), Sharon Den Adel (Within Temptation), Michael Kiske (Helloween), Ronnie Atkins (Pretty Maids), Bob Catley (Magnum), Jorn Lande (Masterplan), Bruce Kulick (Kiss), Robert Mason (Warrant) and Herbie Langhans (Seventh Avenue and Sinbreed) are on board. Together, they have created an album that convinces with epic anthems and dynamic songs. Nothing else is usual from Avantasia, at least since the previous album "The Mystery Of Time" (2013). The first single from "Ghostlights" was released on December 11, 2015: "Mystery Of A Blood Red Rose" gives a good, if short, idea of what to expect on the new album. In addition to the standard CD, "Ghostlights" is available in a variety of other formats, as a double CD with another live Avantasia CD and as a three-CD set with the album, live CD and karaoke version of the album in an exclusive large-format hardcover earbook. The new album is also available on vinyl in several versions: as a double LP, as a double picture disc and exclusively on jpc.de as a double yellow vinyl. Epic metal anthems, a band in top form and first-class guests as far as the eye can see: 'Ghostlights' by Avantasia is a must for fans of symphonic metal. Review. After its "solid" predecessor, a new peak in the Avantasia universe with at least five uber-songs." (Metal Hammer, Katrin Riedl) "Overall, 'Ghostlights' has once again become a strong record that won't disappoint any Avantasia fan, and not just because of surprises like 'Draconian Love' or 'The Haunting'." (Rock Hard, Jens Peters) "Ghostlights" is currently a creative highlight of Sammet's work, who has perfectly understood how to combine commercial and non-commercial song passages into long-lasting anthems. Heavy metal for the big stages of this world!" (Classic Rock, Jürgen Tschamler) "A sledgehammer opus that easily adds at least one more to its equally magnificent predecessor 'The Mystery Of Time'!" (Rock It, Andreas Schöwe) "Sammet also got first-class musical help in the studio from such luminaries as Bruce Kulick (g), Sascha Paeth (g) and Michael Rodenberg (keyboards), but they still deserve the lion's share of the quality of this album, because without good song material this bombastic melodic rock would only be half as fascinating." (Good Times, April/May 2016)
