The Who's comprehensive masterpiece They're back: after thirteen long years, The Who are releasing a new album: 'Who' is the title of the British rock legends' twelfth album, the follow-up to 2006's 'Endless Wire'. Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend wrote and recorded eleven new songs for it. The drums were played by none other than Zak Starkey. The son of former Beatle Ringo Starr has been backing the band on stage for some time. In addition to Townshend, a pair of top musicians, D. Sardy (Noel Gallagher, Oasis, LCD Soundsystem, and Gorillaz) and Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers, Roger Daltrey, Wilko Johnson), contributed to the production of "Who". The Who have already revealed what the new album will sound like, via the first single "Ball And Chain". And it clearly shows that even after a 13-year hiatus, The Who haven't forgotten anything. On the contrary: 'Who' is a complex masterpiece in terms of both music and themes. Last year, the legendary Who presented their first new studio album in more than 13 years. Now "Who" is being released in a deluxe version. In addition to the standard track list, it will include a remix version of "Beads On One String" and 8 acoustic tracks recorded live in Kingston last year. The band is one of rock's most influential bands - the album "Tommy", for example, was a precursor to later rock musicals and concept albums. "Who" reached number 5 in the German album chart.
