Return to Forever is the eighteenth studio album by German rock band Scorpions , released on February 20, 2015. The album was produced by Mikael Nord Andersson and Martin Hansen. It is the first album with new guitarist Matthias Jabs since 1979's Lovedrive. The album received mixed to positive reviews from music critics. Stephen Thomas Erlewine of AllMusic gave the album 3.5 stars out of five, stating that "Return to Forever is a typically robust Scorpions album , one that won't surprise longtime fans but could bring new ones to the band". The album debuted at number two on the German album chart and sold over 20,000 units in its first week. The album also debuted at No. 153 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 5,000 units in its first week.
