Queen: Live At The Rainbow '74 versión en Blu-ray en estándar edición. Esta edición en concreto se lanzó en Europa y Reino Unido en la editorial Virgin EMI Records el día 16. septiembre 2014.
Rare live album of the legendary Queen to be released in September!Although the British band Queen is still very active musically, for many fans the most important period of their career is the beginning. Ever since its formation in 1970, the British legend has been renowned for its unforgettable live concerts, which, especially in the early years, were performed only as opening acts for its then better-known bandmates. In early September, Queen fans will get their first look at a live album that uniquely charts the band's first major tour...In 1974, Queen had a very well established career. They had two successful albums to their credit, their songs were being played on the radio and they were touring all over Europe. On the last day of March, the band were due to play a show in the then new venue of The Rainbow club in London, where three thousand fans turned up thanks to a publicity stunt during a performance on the legendary British TV show Top Of The Pops. Witnesses to this concert agree that it was one of the best performances of their entire career. Due to the great success, which had meanwhile been boosted by the subsequent release of the single Killer Queen, Queen returned to the same venue in November of that year and played two more sold-out shows...The footage of these legendary performances never saw release. It has had to mature for forty years and will finally be available in early September on CD, DVD, SD Blu-Ray and, of course, vinyl. Recorded by Roy Thomas Baker, who co-produced Queen's first four albums, the concerts not only provide a completely unique concert atmosphere, but most importantly, live performances of songs that the British legend never played on later tours...The newly mixed and mastered Queen: Live at the Rainbow '74 title will be available (in addition to digital formats) in six different versions. The most basic will include one CD, and that will include a recording of the November show. The two-disc digipack version will bring the March recording on the first disc, and the November one on the second. The third version will be available on DVD or SD Blu-ray and will contain the entire November show with the four March bonus tracks...The other formats will please especially fans of black records. The double vinyl version will contain an audio reproduction of the entire March concert plus the best of November. The four-vinyl limited edition will feature a recording of the March concert on two discs and a recording of the sold-out November 1974 show on the other two.The most extensive super deluxe box, which will be a beautiful combination of the two CD, DVD and SD Blu-Ray formats described above, complete with a host of bonuses, will also be limited. In addition to the extensive sixty-page book (containing never before published photos, reproductions of reviews from the time and newspaper articles), there will be, for example, a reproduction of two tickets from the March 1974 concert (kept as a memento by guitarist Brian May's parents), a reproduction of a booklet of the band's souvenirs sold at the time, a reproduction of two of the pancakes sold at the time, and a poster...The title Queen: Live at the Rainbow '74 presents Britain's legendary band in amazing form, at their most raucous and powerful, and above all at the beginning of their incredible creativity. It will be an absolute gem in any true Queen fan's collection...
