Queen were aware that the anthems on News Of The World would be hard to top, and decided that a return to a more eclectic approach was the way to go. Hence the title Jazz, which may have been commercial suicide or downright misleading. Anyway, Queen were already so popular that they could come up with practically anything as a title for their seventh album - their ever-so-slightly witty signature (the antithesis of anything punk or new wave) was considered apt. But the last thing you'll find on Jazz is jazz. Review ,,The optimally executed bass alone gives the whole thing the proper hallmark." (Good Times, August/September 2011)
