For the past six months, the curly-haired man has been making regular appearances at Toe Rag studios to complete his anticipated fourth album. He's been inspired by several bands: he has a passion for The Zombies, an affection for Love and a great enthusiasm for Sly and the Family Stone. He is known for writing great songs, carefully crafting his lyrics and giving pop melodies a whole new shape. Up until now, synths and computers have been his tools, but he wants to take it to the next level at Toe Rag. Joseph Mount from Totnes, Devon, UK is the lead singer and main songwriter of Metronomy. The title of Metronomy's new album "Love Letters" speaks of personal events but also different ways of communicating about things that have always been there and always will be. And it's no coincidence: 'Love Letters' is a timeless record. On "Love Letters", Metronomy combine new and fresh sounds with a classic way of music production. In the process, tried and tested recording methods meet modern electronics and sound experiments. The album therefore doesn't sound retro, but revives the quality standards of the past and can stand on par with the greats of yesteryear.
