Swedish black metallers Marduk have been around since 1990 and to celebrate the band's 30th anniversary, Century Media is now releasing the first, now hard to find studio work with current frontman Mortuus (Funeral Mist, Triumphator), both on vinyl and in a limited CD version. Since Mortuus' arrival in 2004, Marduk have experienced a further increase in uncompromising intensity (something to be said for "Panzer Division Marduk"), which was reflected in the success of their latest album "Viktoria" (2018). In agreement with the band, small but subtle changes have been made to this series of reissues: For "Rome 5:12", the album has been shortened to three sides of the LP instead of four, as the various intros and outros were interrupted in the original, so the listening experience is smoother on the reissue, and the etching on side D is also hilarious. For "Wormwood", Marduk managed to dig up a previously unreleased track from the studio recordings called "Shadow Comes". All the vinyls are in a thick cardboard cover inside out and were mastered for vinyl by Patrick W. Engel. The CDs come in a limited edition sleeve.
