Dead Can Dance's divine album Dead Can Dance have always been fascinated by the traditions of European nations, both religious or spiritual and musical. Their impressive discography already proves this. The band around Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry found inspiration for their new, ninth studio album so far, this time in the Greek world of the gods. Here is "Dionysos". Their new LP is a concept album consisting of two acts and seven elements. In content and music, it explores the myth of Dionysos, the story of the god of wine, joy and ecstasy. And as is customary with Dead Can Dance, traditional folk influences can be heard on "Dionysus". A divine album: in 2018, Dead Can Dance once again proved themselves to be virtuoso world musicians. "Dionysos" is proof of that.
