"Hofner Blue Notes" is the nineteenth studio album by British singer-songwriter Chris Rea, first released in 2003 on his own Jazzee Blue record label. The album was part of a series of mostly instrumental blues and jazz albums by this exceptional artist, including "Blue Street (Five Guitars)", which were released primarily in the UK. On "Hofner Blue Notes" this exceptional British musician managed to pay tribute to the instrument and let the guitar speak for itself. The result is a unique collection of Chris Rea originals that expresses his devotion to his instrument. Without a doubt, this is one of his most distinctive works.
