Aretha Franklin is certainly one of the "titans" of soul (James Brown and Otis Redding can be mentioned for comparison) and crossover genre and one of the most successful female stars in music history, which is underlined by the affectionate labels "Lady Soul" or "Queen Of Soul". The album "Aretha's Greatest Hits" was originally released in 1971 on Atlantic and of course contains all the great classics up to and including the seventies, such as "Respect", "I Say A Little Prayer" and "Chain of Fools", as well as some of her most beautiful cover versions from the pop genre, such as "Let It Be", "Call Me" and "Bridge Over Troubled Water". The LP is released in its original Atlantic label artwork and design and is highly recommended to any soul fan in vinyl. Classic soul on a classic record format. Timelessly good.
