Classic Alphaville fans take note: The German pop icons are releasing two expanded and remastered deluxe reissues of their albums "Afternoons In Utopia" and "The Breathtaking Blue" in 2021. Overseen by founding members Marian Gold and Bernhard Lloyd, these two works are being remastered for the first time. "Afternoons in Utopia" is Alphaville's second studio album. It was originally released in 1986 and reached number 13 in the German charts. The best known songs include the singles "Dance with Me", "Universal Daddy", "Jerusalem", "Sensations" and "Red Rose". The deluxe edition of "Afternoons In Utopia" is being released as an LP and double CD. The LP version (180g) contains the remastered album including a 24-page booklet with rare and unpublished photos in a gatefold sleeve, the double CD contains the remastered album on CD 1, 14 remastered B-sides, 12ʺ- and 7ʺ-mixes, remixes, demos and also a rare live version of the single "Dance With Me" on CD 2.
