They became internationally known after their cover version of Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal" went viral on YouTube in 2011. Their second album Celloverse was released in 2015. The album has a rockier and poppier sound than their first album. It features guest appearances by Elton John, Steve Vai and Skylar Grey. The album was well received by critics. The Guardian gave it four stars out of five, calling it "an album that does as well with classical as it does with rock". The album was a commercial success, reaching number one in the UK Classical Music Chart and number two in the US Classical Music Chart. 2Cellos se vracejí se svým třetím albem "Celloverse" a nijak se neodchylují od konceptu svého stejnojmenného debutu: instrumentální interpretace současných i minulých rockových a popových klasik s obrovskou energií a cílem vystřelit instrumentální hudbu do "celloverse". To se daří díky jedinečnému talentu violoncellistů Luky Suliče a Stjepana Hausera.

Album obsahuje verze písní "Thunderstruck" a "I Will Wait", které jsou v současné době populární na YouTube, a také nové skladby, jako je "Wake Me Up" od Aviciiho, "The Trooper" od Iron Maiden a klasika Michaela Jacksona "They Don't Care About Us". Titulní skladba je původní kompozicí 2Cellos. Třešničkou na dortu je pravděpodobně nezapomenutelná spolupráce s jejich dobrým přítelem Langem na klasice Paula McCartneyho "Live And Let Die".
