80s Rock Band Known for Hit We Built This City

Starship is an American rock band that evolved from the group Jefferson Starship, which itself was an offshoot of the iconic psychedelic rock band Jefferson Airplane. After key Jefferson Starship members left the band in the mid-1980s, the remaining members, including vocalist Grace Slick and guitarist Craig Chaquico, changed the name to Starship. Under this new moniker, they achieved considerable commercial success during the late 1980s.
