Iconic Grunge Rock Band from Seattle

Soundgarden was an influential American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1984. The group was one of the key creators of the grunge movement, a style of alternative rock that developed in the Pacific Northwest in the early 1990s. Soundgarden was founded by singer and rhythm guitarist Chris Cornell, lead guitarist Kim Thayil, and bassist Hiro Yamamoto, who was later replaced by Ben Shepherd. The band's lineup was completed by drummer Matt Cameron.
