Shakira is a Colombian singer, songwriter, dancer, and record producer who has become one of the most prominent figures in Latin music and global pop culture. Born on February 2, 1977, in Barranquilla, Colombia, Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll showed an early interest in music and began writing songs at a young age. She released her debut album "Magia" in 1991 when she was just 13 years old, but it was her fourth studio album, "¿Dónde Están los Ladrones?" in 1998 that catapulted her to fame in Latin America.
