Kula Shaker is a British psychedelic rock band that gained prominence in the mid-1990s. The band was formed in 1995 by lead vocalist and guitarist Crispian Mills, bassist Alonza Bevan, keyboardist Jay Darlington, and drummer Paul Winterhart. They are known for their interest in Indian spirituality and mysticism, which is reflected in their music and aesthetics. Their debut album "K," released in 1996, became one of the fastest-selling UK debuts ever, achieving platinum status and spawning hit singles such as "Tattva" and "Hey Dude."
