John Waite is an English musician who gained considerable fame as the lead vocalist for the rock band The Babys in the late 1970s and early 1980s. After the group disbanded in 1981, Waite embarked on a solo career, releasing his debut album "Ignition" in 1982, which featured the hit single "Change." He achieved greater success with his 1984 release "No Brakes," which included the number one hit "Missing You." Waite continued to produce music throughout the 1980s and 1990s, with albums like "Mask of Smiles" (1985) and "When You Were Mine" (1997), although these did not reach the same level of commercial success as his earlier work.
