Iconic Motown Vocal Quartet

The Four Tops are a legendary American vocal quartet from Detroit, Michigan, who became one of the main acts of the Motown Records roster during the 1960s and 1970s. The group was founded in 1953 and was comprised of lead singer Levi Stubbs, Abdul "Duke" Fakir, Renaldo "Obie" Benson, and Lawrence Payton. They achieved tremendous success with a string of hit singles such as "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)" and "Reach Out I'll Be There." Their music is characterized by a powerful and soulful sound that combines R&B with pop, doo-wop, jazz, and soul influences.
