Fatboy Slim, whose real name is Norman Cook, is an English musician, DJ, and record producer who rose to prominence in the 1990s. He is a key figure in the big beat genre, a style of electronic music that combines elements of techno, rock, and hip-hop. Before adopting the Fatboy Slim moniker, Cook was part of the indie rock band The Housemartins in the mid-1980s. After the band's breakup, he explored various electronic music styles and projects, including Pizzaman and The Mighty Dub Katz.
