Alternative Metal Pioneers

Faith No More is an American rock band that was formed in San Francisco, California, in 1979. Known for their innovative and genre-defying sound, they have been credited with influencing a wide array of musical styles, including alternative metal, rap metal, and funk metal. The band's lineup has changed several times throughout their career, but the core members have included bassist Billy Gould, keyboardist Roddy Bottum, and drummer Mike Bordin. Vocalist Mike Patton joined the band in 1988 and became one of the most distinctive elements of their sound with his wide vocal range and eclectic delivery.
