Empire of the Sun is an Australian electronic music duo formed in 2007, consisting of Luke Steele of the alternative rock band The Sleepy Jackson, and Nick Littlemore from the electronic dance outfit Pnau. They achieved international success with their debut album "Walking on a Dream" released in 2008, which spawned the hit singles "Walking on a Dream" and "We Are the People." Their sound is characterized by a combination of genres such as electronic, pop, and rock, often featuring grandiose production and theatrical elements.
