Elvis Presley, often known simply as "Elvis" and dubbed the "King of Rock and Roll," was a transformative figure in popular music and culture during the mid-20th century. Born on January 8, 1935, in Tupelo, Mississippi, he moved to Memphis, Tennessee with his family at the age of 13. His music career began in 1954 with the legendary Sun Records label in Memphis, where he worked with producer Sam Phillips. Elvis's unique style—a fusion of country music and rhythm and blues—catapulted him to fame.
