Duran Duran is an iconic British new wave band formed in Birmingham in 1978. The band was a leading force in the MTV-driven "Second British Invasion" of the US in the 1980s. The original lineup consisted of Simon Le Bon (vocals), Nick Rhodes (keyboards), John Taylor (bass guitar), Roger Taylor (drums), and Andy Taylor (guitar). They achieved enormous success with their self-titled debut album "Duran Duran" in 1981, which featured hits like "Girls on Film" and "Planet Earth." Their third album, "Seven and the Ragged Tiger," released in 1983, included the hit singles "The Reflex" and "New Moon on Monday." Over the years, Duran Duran has released multiple albums, maintained a loyal fan base, and continued to tour internationally. Despite changes in their lineup and shifts in popular music trends, they have remained relevant, as evidenced by their 2021 album "Future Past," which showcases their ability to evolve while staying true to their distinctive style.
