Norwegian synth-pop trio

A-ha is a Norwegian synthpop band formed in Oslo in 1982. The group initially rose to fame during the mid-1980s after being propelled into the international spotlight with their hit single "Take On Me," which featured a groundbreaking music video that mixed live-action with pencil-sketch animation. The song was a track from their debut album "Hunting High and Low" (1985), which helped them earn a Grammy Award nomination and solidified their position in the new wave/synthpop scene. The band consists of lead vocalist Morten Harket, guitarist Paul Waaktaar-Savoy, and keyboardist Magne Furuholmen.
