Zwaertgevegt is a Dutch black metal record label founded in December of 2009 by Patrick Uiterweerd. The purpose of the record label was strictly to release Dutch-based black metal bands on cassette tapes. All releases were limited edition and hand-numbered and were photocopied to resemble early 1990's demo tape releases. In late 2010, Patrick handed over the ownership of the company to Alex Zwaert (aka Alex Morbid-Reality, owner of Serpent's Eye Records), who continues to operate it to this day. With Alex, the quality of the releases improved and are usually pro-printed instead of photocopied. Zwaertgevegt also released some pro tapes and also started with some vinyls.
