We Came As Romans is an American metalcore band formed in Troy, Michigan, in 2005. The band has gone through several lineup changes throughout its career, with the founding members Joshua Moore (lead guitar) and David Stephens (vocals) remaining constants. They are known for their melodic sound that incorporates both clean and unclean vocals, energetic live performances, and deeply personal lyrics. The band's sophomore album, "Understanding What We've Grown to Be," was released in 2011 and showcased a more mature sound compared to their debut album "To Plant a Seed." This release was followed by several others, including "Cold Like War" in 2017, which reflected on personal struggles and the battles they faced as a band. We Came As Romans has built a strong fan base over the years and has been a part of major tours and festivals around the world, contributing significantly to the metalcore scene.
