Truly is an American rock band formed in the early 1990s by Robert Roth (vocals, guitar), Hiro Yamamoto (bass), and Mark Pickerel (drums). Hiro Yamamoto was a co-founding member of the influential band Soundgarden before he left and eventually started Truly with Roth and Pickerel, who was the original drummer for Screaming Trees. Truly's sound is characterized by a blend of psychedelic rock, grunge, and space rock, and they were part of the Pacific Northwest music scene that gained widespread attention in the early '90s.
