Tommy Emmanuel is an Australian guitarist known for his complex fingerstyle technique, energetic performances, and use of percussive effects on the guitar. Born on May 31, 1955, in Muswellbrook, New South Wales, he began playing guitar at a young age, guided by his mother's musical influence and his family's love for music. Emmanuel has never received formal music education and instead developed his skills through an intense practice regimen and live performance experience.
