The Red Chord is an American metal band from Revere, Massachusetts, formed in 1999. They are known for their blend of metalcore, death metal, and grindcore elements, often categorized as technical death metal or mathcore. The band's lineup has seen several changes throughout its career but was initially founded by vocalist Guy Kozowyk and guitarist Kevin Rampelberg. The Red Chord gained recognition in the underground metal scene with their debut album "Fused Together in Revolving Doors" released in 2002. They subsequently signed with Metal Blade Records, through which they released their second album "Clients" in 2005. This album helped to further establish their presence in the metal community. They continued to build their reputation with subsequent releases such as "Prey For Eyes" (2007) and "Fed Through the Teeth Machine" (2009). The Red Chord has toured extensively both in the United States and internationally, sharing stages with prominent bands in the heavy music scene and participating in festivals like the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival. Their technical proficiency and intense live performances have garnered them a dedicated fan base within the extreme music genre.
